Come join SOLVE & Oregon Master Naturalist Rebecca Lexa for an opportunity to learn about local ecology while making an impact. This event will combine a litter cleanup with a short-walking tour identifying local plant & animal species in SE. Learn about your wild neighbors while removing trash and other pollutants from our shared ecosystem.

Join SOLVE on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 for a litter cleanup in the Sunnyside neighborhood as part of a vibrant, fun-filled celebration of our planet. This free, community-driven event invites people of all ages to come together in honor of Earth, promote environmental awareness, and celebrate the joy of living sustainably. Come to clean up litter and stay to enjoy food, music, a parade, costume contest, and more!

We will be removing invasives like ivy and blackberry, picking up litter, dragging fallen limbs into piles, and weeding the new beds of native plant to help give them a good start. All ages and families are welcome. Work begins at 9 am with a short orientation talk and finishes up about noon. Wear good work shoes and be prepared for the weather. If you have them, bring your own work gloves and a container for water. We will have fresh water to fill your containers. Friends of Pier Park will also provide coffee and donuts for all volunteers.

Since 1970, folks all over the world have come together during the month of April to advocate for environmental protections and take action to care for our ecosystems. SOLVE invites you and your community to step into that role of service with us throughout the month of April. Join us at Lents Park to collect litter and recyclables in the surrounding area.

Making Earth Cool joins forces with the Portland-based Nyback Archive to present a special screening featuring rare 16mm nature films. One of the most important private film collections in the U.S., the Nyback Archive spans over 120 years of cinema history and contains the original programs that curator and theater owner Dennis Nyback toured around the world with. DJ Plntdd spinning nature inspired tunes before the show. Come dressed in your favorite nature-inspired outfit and win a prize!

Join our 9th Annual Earth Month Clean-up at Boise Eliot Native Grove, a native plant pocket park in inner North-East Portland. We'll be planting natives, cleaning up trash, trimming over-grown plants, weeding out invasives, re-building willow-wattle fences, and generally tidying up. Feel free to bring BOOKS for our Free Little Library! Bring gloves, sturdy work shoes, sun protection and your muscles!

Help remove invasive plants to restore and beautify the Rose City Bluff. We will be doing a variety of clipping and digging up of invasive blackberry, ivy, grasses, and other weeds. The Bluff is a half-mile long slope on the north edge of the Rose City Golf Course, with a one-mile loop trail and panoramic views of the golf course and Mt. Hood.

Come join non-profit Trash for Peace (TFP), SOLVE, and Home Forward Gladstone Square Apartments residents to clean up the area and make an impact. As a part of a Metro Regional Refresh grant, this is the second clean up of four scheduled at various Home Forward affordable housing sites in Portland. Connect with community members, enter a raffle, have treats and coffee, and make the environment cleaner!

Please join SOLVE for a litter cleanup in the Pearl District! We will meet at Jamison Square, where you can sign in and pick up your supplies. Then, we will branch off for cleanup throughout the Pearl after a brief safety talk, working to beautify our neighborhoods and create a healthier environment. After the event, please join us for an hour of creativity where we will be led through a sustainable art activity by the wonderful Fry! Together, we will polish up the Pearl District and get creative before the bustling crowds roll in for all the fun of First Thursdays! 

Join Lloyd EcoDistrict and SOLVE volunteers for our Earth Month cleanups at Peace Memorial Park. These events are based in Peace Memorial Park and cover the surrounding areas (Eastbank Esplanade, Duckworth Dock, Moda Center, and Convention Center). The clean-up event will include trash pick-up, sprucing up Peace Memorial Park, and painting over or removing graffiti around the area.

Join SOLVE on the last Sunday of every month to help keep the Kenton Neighborhood clean!
